One and only. Made in Japan.
Rope access for investigation and inspection.
SORAT
We are professional engineers in Japan.
To the members of IRATA,SPRAT or any other rope access organizations,
ONLY ONE MAIN ROPE is enough.
Why do you need 2 ropes for rope access?
In Japan there is a unique rope access technique.
With only one main rope, onsite engineers of inspection and investigation secure highest safety, access high and difficult locations quickly and exactly, inspect and investigate it by themselves.
I‘ll explain the features and backgrounds of SORAT.
-
SORAT technique was developed and improved as we conducted thorough not construction works but inspections and investigations.
-
Onsite engineers of inspection and investigation use SORAT techniques by themselves. Construction workers don`t.
-
We do great jobs on the locations where aerial work platform cannot access or other methods are not available.
-
We use only one main rope and don`t require any backup ropes.
-
We re-bley or deviate a main rope to lose the risk of cuts.
-
First of all, We stick to pre-load test and 3 attachment rule. They are great safety principles of SORAT.
-
We can always keep 2 attachments if we need to detach a descender or one connector of a double lanyard to traverse a rope when maitaining 3 attachments.
-
Our 3 attachment rule is akin to the concept of backup ropes of other rope access organizations.
-
We created SORAT techniques in the 1990s and no accidents have occurred for more than 20 years. Our security policy has great reputation in Japan.
-
SORAT technique is recognized as safe rope access techniques under Japan`s strict safety policy.
-
The main advantage of SORAT techniques are that with only one main rope SORAT engineers can work as safely as with a main rope and a backup rope.
-
By using SORAT technique, we can traverse only one main rope to access hard to reach locations more easily than traversing 2 ropes (a main rope and backup rope).
-
In other words, without using a backup rope, we can access any inaccessible location.
-
SORAT technique is developed and improved by Keystone Co., Ltd. and Professional Caver Osamu Seki (Rope Tech Japan).
-
We offer 3 days rope access training in Japanese,English,Spanish and German upon request. Our guest house is located in Gojou city in Nara and conveniently near our training tower and seminar rooms.Cost:150,000 Japanese yen (including 3-day accommodations)
SORAT is organized by Keystone JAPAN Co., Ltd and Japan Single Rope Access Organization.
SORAT is written in Japanese kanji as 空人; 空 means "sky" and 人 means "a person".
